What is the best Harley seat for tall riders — like myself at over 6 feet tall? I get body aches, soreness and feel cramped on my Harley Davidson stock seat.
Whether you munch miles on Road King or Electra Glide or cruise the boulevard on a Dyna, your body can become fatigued and strained on an ill fitting motorcycle seat. Comfort is not over-rated.
After I found a good seat for my long, lanky frame, I want to share my findings about a good, aftermarket HD seats for taller motorcycle riders.

My favorite: LaPerra Daddy Long Legs Kickflip
The LaPera Daddy Long Legs seat is a great option. The Long Legs version is the tall man’s version.
The saddle changes the seat height and distance from the bars and footpegs.
On my Fat Bob, the seat moved me back about 2 inches. I no longer feel like I’m pushing back on the seat. I don’t feel cramped on it.
The Kickflip is firmer than the mushy stock Harley saddle. I like the feel of the seat. For me, I rank the Kickflip on my Dyna the most comfortable Harley seat for tall guys I’ve used. It is comfortable, especially with the back-support.
How to make a Harley Davidson touring bike comfortable for tall riders
Seat height is key
A low seat height may work for short people, but an increase in seat height is better for taller riders. The increased seat height impacts the distance from the foot pegs.
The increased foot peg distance allows us tall people better opportunities to stretch out and we are not pushing are back and bottom into the pillion.
If you are really tall — over 6’4″ — a set of foot peg and control extenders like these may be key for you. Some folks like the Harley Davdison Tallboy seat.
Most comfortable Harley seat for tall guys: Firm or soft?
Most aftermarket saddles are firmer than the mushy stock seat. Because of the added firmness, your seat and derriere may require a little break-in time.
